It took me 32 prints to get to black printing completely correctly again but it worked. Furthermore, I would have to buy new machine. I complained that a 150-200 purchase was negated by poor quality plastic roller the size of a grape. I spoke with senior tech people at HP and they confirm this printer - and many others - are disposable. I did this by forcing air through the breather hole in the cartridge.ġ) Peel back the label on the top of the cartridge to reveal the breather hole indicated.ģ) Get a short tube (perhaps a Bic pen outer or a straw and make a seal out of Bluetack or similar) and blow into the air hole for 2 seconds, close the maintenance lid and print a test pageģ) Repeat the process until the black starts printing again 1 Posted: Options I commented below - earlier. Colors will print on these pages but not the black. Have gone through all the normal procedures to clean print heads, align printer, take ink out and put back in. This cured the three colours perfectly but the black never came back. Black in will not print Ugh Brand new black cartridge with low levels on the colors. A short google search reveals this is a common problem and there are many Youtube videos demonstrating the wet towel trick to clean the print heads.
